Therapy for Relationship Anxiety

A calm, supportive space for individuals to explore relationship worries, self-doubt and boundary setting

Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or carrying a quiet pressure to keep everyone else happy. You might find yourself managing other people’s needs, avoiding conflict, or feeling unsure where your own boundaries sit. Even when you appear capable on the outside, inside you may feel stretched thin, second guessing yourself, or exhausted by relationships.

I work with adults who feel responsible for keeping relationships safe and steady — people who care deeply about their relationships and often find themselves worrying, overthinking, or needing reassurance that everything is okay.

This can feel especially familiar if you have ADHD (diagnosed or not) where emotions, rejection worries, or overthinking can show up more strongly.

Therapy offers a place to slow things down, feel understood, and begin relating to yourself and others in a more secure, balanced way.

How therapy can help

Therapy can support you to:

  • Feel less anxious and more grounded in relationships
  • Understand and recognise when certain patterns keep repeating
  • Stop over giving or taking responsibility for others’ emotions
  • Build boundaries that feel kind, realistic, and sustainable
  • Develop greater self trust and confidence in your needs

Many clients come to therapy saying they feel “too much” or “not enough” in relationships. Together, we explore where these beliefs came from and how they continue to shape your relationships today.

My approach

I work in an integrative, relational way, meaning our work is shaped around you and your experiences. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced carefully. I aim to offer a calm space where you can speak openly without pressure to explain yourself perfectly or have everything worked out.
Together, we look at:

  • The relationship patterns that feel hardest to shift
  • The parts of you that learned to stay safe by pleasing, adapting, or staying quiet
  • Why boundaries can feel uncomfortable or guilt provoking
  • How to develop steadier, more secure ways of relating

Therapy is about understanding you — and supporting change that feels grounded and achievable.
